Alliances professionnelles pour la co-production : les chartes européennes et internationales pour la participation citoyenne

L’équipe du projet Fairville vous invite à la deuxième session des Dialogues in Coproduction, une série de séminaires publics en ligne consacrés à la coproduction de villes justes. Notre ambition est de contribuer à la consolidation d’une communauté internationale de praticiens intéressés par l’exploration et l’apprentissage d’expériences concrètes visant à lutter contre les inégalités sociales, spatiales, environnementales et politiques croissantes dans nos villes. Les Dialogues in coproduction sont ouverts aux habitant.es, aux militant.es, aux universitaires et aux professionnel.les, ainsi qu’à d’autres acteurs issus d’organisations de la société civile et de gouvernements locaux.
Cette deuxième session des Dialogues est consacrée à l’exploration de deux chartes internationales pour la planification participative : la Charte européenne sur la démocratie participative pour l’aménagement du territoire et la Charte internationale participative pour le développement urbain et territorial afin de mettre en œuvre un nouvel agenda urbain. Ces chartes ont été élaborées par l’ECTP-CEU (Conseil européen des urbanistes) et les membres du Forum des professionnels d’ONU-Habitat, dans le but d’orienter les pratiques de planification urbaine vers des approches plus participatives. Elles ont été adoptées respectivement en 2015 et 2024. Pour discuter de l’élaboration de
ces chartes et de leur mise en oeuvre, nous recevrons plusieurs invités :

Le projet Fairville
Le projet Fairville est un projet de recherche international et collaboratif financé par Horizon Europe (le programme de financement de l’UE pour la recherche et l’innovation), pour la période 2023-2026. Le projet interroge les inégalités urbaines et les défis qu’elles posent à la démocratie dans les grandes villes, en accompagnant des initiatives citoyennes permettant la co-production de la ville dans des quartiers populaires. Le projet conçoit ainsi la recherche-action participative et la coproduction de connaissances comme des outils pour lutter contre les inégalités dans les centres urbains, principalement en Europe, mais aussi en Afrique. Le projet de recherche est développé à partir de huit zones urbaines (Fairville labs), où prennent place des initiatives citoyennes partenaires du projet, face à des enjeux liés au logement, aux risques et à l’environnent. Ces Fairville labs sont situés dans huit villes européennes et africaines (Athènes, Berlin, Bruxelles, Le Caire,
Calarasi, Dakar, Londres et Marseille).
Dans le cadre du projet Fairville, le séminaire Dialogues in co-production est un rendez-vous régulier où chercheur.es, acteurs associatifs, citoyens et militant.es échangent sur leurs méthodes de travail et leurs actions.

Professional Alliances for Co-Production : Exploring the European and International Participatory Charters

The Fairville project team invites you to the second session of Dialogues in Coproduction, an online public seminar series dedicated to the co-production of just cities. Our ambition is to help consolidate an international community of practice interested in exploring and learning from real-life experiments addressing the growing social, spatial, environmental and political inequalities in our cities. The Dialogues in Coproduction are open to residents, activists, academics and professionals, alongside other actors from civil society organisations and local governments.
This second session of the Dialogues is dedicated to an exploration of two international Charters on participatory planning – The European Charter on Participatory Democracy in Spatial Planning and The International Participatory Charter for Urban and Territorial Development to Deliver the New Urban Agenda. These Charters have been developed by the ECTP-CEU (European Council of Spatial Planners) and members of the UN Habitat Professionals Forum, with the aim of guiding planning practice towards more participatory approaches. They were adopted in 2015 and 2024 respectively. To discuss this topic, we will be pleased to welcome the following speakers :

About the Fairville project
The Fairville project is an international and collaborative research project funded by Horizon Europe (EU’s funding programme for research and innovation), for the period 2023-2026. The project intends to address embedded urban inequalities and the challenge they raise to democracy in large cities and urban regions by supporting co-production and bottom-up collaboration engaging citizens collectives in low-income neighbourhoods. The project aims to use participatory action-research and the co-production of knowledge as strategies of spatial justice to address urban inequalities affecting cities, mainly in Europe, but also in Africa. The research project is based on eight Fairville labs, mostly linked to citizen-led initiatives run by local groups partnering the project, in eight European and African cities (Athens, Berlin, Brussels, Cairo, Calarasi, Dakar, London and Marseille).
As part of the Fairville project, the Dialogues in co-production is a regular meeting where researchers, associations, citizens and activists exchange ideas on their working methods and actions.
